Quincy Trouppe

C 1944-47 Cleveland Buckeyes, Negro AL, '52 Indians

Quincy led the Buckeyes to victory in the Negro World Series as a player manager, and later had the proverbial cup of coffee in the bigs, gathering just one hit in ten at bats. Trouppe was an integral part of one of the most curious transactions in baseball history, as he and another player were "traded" to the Mexican League during the height of WWII for the use of 80,000 Mexican workers!
